Meet the Founder
Olubunmi “Bunmi” Sonubi
Olubunmi “Bunmi” Sonubi is an accomplished Advanced Practice Nurse in Adult-Gerontology and healthcare leader with over 16 years of experience across trauma, medical-surgical, hospice, and long-term care settings. Since beginning her nursing career in 2010, she has served in various leadership roles including Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, and Director of Hospice, where she is known for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while remaining calm, decisive, and effective in high-pressure situations that require critical thinking and swift action.
Born into a family of four daughters, Bunmi was raised with strong values of discipline, resilience, and faith—principles that continue to shape her life and leadership. In 2002, she migrated to the United States in pursuit of education and greater opportunity, a journey marked by courage, sacrifice, and determination.
Starting from humble beginnings, Bunmi worked as a restaurant server while studying through nursing school—laying the foundation for the work ethic, perseverance, and grit she is known for today. She is a multi-talented, driven go-getter who refuses to give up, consistently rising through challenges with strength and purpose.
Her life and leadership are deeply rooted in her faith in God, which serves as the compass for all she does. As a devoted mother of three, she is intentional about instilling values of faith, perseverance, integrity, and purpose—leading by example in both word and action.
Beyond her professional and entrepreneurial accomplishments, Bunmi is known by those closest to her as the one who shows up—the sister who is always there, the friend who listens, and the mother who leads with love, strength, and presence.
Beyond healthcare, Bunmi is the Founder and Creative Director of Boomsy Creations, a luxury event design brand known for curating elegant, bespoke experiences. She is also the visionary behind My Mother & Me – The Legacy Experience, a purpose-driven platform dedicated to strengthening the bond between mothers and their children and building generational legacy through connection and empowerment.
Bunmi’s life is a reflection of faith, resilience, and intentional growth. She is passionate about building legacy—not only through her work, but through the lives she touches and the example she sets.
